Evidence Acquisition: This perspective article describes a path model for mobility in children with CP. A conceptual framework for the model was supported by the relevant literature, and published papers on the personal and environmental factors affecting mobility in children with CP were reviewed. A literature search was performed using PubMed, SCOPUS and Google Scholar on papers published from 1970 to 2016. Results: From the initial 228 articles related to personal and environmental factors for children with cerebral palsy, 72 articles met the inclusion criteria. Different factors, affecting the mobility, directly and indirectly, were analyzed based on available evidence. Conclusions: If contributing factors that lead to changes in basic motor abilities are identified and subjected to manipulation, the identified determinants that can be optimized through interventions might enhance long-term results of mobility.
